early years
David Hughes (guitar) and myself formed a band called ‘the Blurters’
In 1980 we won the 'Young Jazz Musicians of the Year'
awarded by the London arts council for UK's best contempory jazz band.
The band played a week at Ronnie Scott's jazz venue under the name of ‘Channel 9’
